Linden is beautifully situated in a serene park-like seven acre setting.The quiet and beauty of our grounds leads one to believe you are in the country. Linden is only 2 or 3minutes from the center of downtown Natchez and the Mississippi River. A large number of National and State Historic Registry Sites can be seen within our walkable downtown area.

When you stay at Linden, you will reside within the walls of the home ; there are no dependencies or out-buildings. You will breakfast in the formal dining room, as favored guests should. LINDEN FUN FACTS


The doorway to Scarlette O'Hara's home Tara , in the 1939 motion picture classic,Gone With the Wind was copied from Linden.

The incomparable Percy Faith used Linden for his album cover Tara's Theme From Gone With the Wind
Jane Conner, a widow with 13 children purchased Linden in 1849. She had 7 sons and 6 daughters. It still remains in the Conner family.

Mrs Conner planted 7 cedars of Lebanon trees in 1849 in front of Linden in honor of her 7 sons. Five of those trees still stand proudly 163 years later.

Cedars of Lebanon tree can reach over 130 ft in height. The oldest one, located in Israel, is over 2000 years old.

Cedars of Lebanon trees is mention throughout the Bible. It is also sometime called " Tree of Joy".
